			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.jazzperformances.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Joe-LoCascio.jpg"><img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-925" title="Joe LoCascio" src="http://www.jazzperformances.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Joe-LoCascio-150x113.jpg" alt="Joe LoCascio" width="150" height="113" /></a>Joe and Patty introduce their new CD “Nameless Places” last Saturday  night at Cezanne’s, and what a hit it is.  All of the music and lyrics  are original compositions  by Joe LoCascio.  Unique to this presentation  is that Joe has been able to capture both a very contemporary jazz style  without losing the emotional connection to the lyrics as so often  happens in jazz tone poems.  Patty’s vocal style and obvious respect  for her  role as the vocal instrument of the ensemble, carefully  blending with Woody Witt’s sax, created an atmosphere more akin to a  concert hall than a jazz club.  The rhythm section, David Craig and Tim  Solook truly rose to the occasion and created the perfect scaffolding to  support Joe’s music.</p>
<p>This is a landmark, “must have” album for any Houston jazz  collector.  I have already listened to it three times, and it is loaded  with unrealized nuances and subtle emotional “hooks” that make me want  to come back to it again.  Drop Joe a line and buy a copy, It certainly  is one of Houston’s best: <a href="mailto:joelocascio60@yahoo.com">joelocascio60@yahoo.com</a></p>
